Forbidden to Write

“Confess to yourself in the deepest hour of the night whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write. Dig deep into your heart, where the answer spreads its roots in your being, and ask yourself solemnly, Must I write?”

My translation: In everyday life we come to crossroads when we must make choices.  We can only try our hardest, if that, because well... we are only human right?  As people we have aspirations and dreams, sometimes we have so many dreams or "loves" that we must pick and chose ones we'll hang onto.  Those forgotten loves, the lost dreams, die.  This quote isn't quite as dramatic if taken literally and logically.  No living person who physically stop breathing if forbidden to write.  This is the representation of the crossroads they would endure if faced with such a decision.

Give Peace A Chance

After watching hours of CNN specials on the death and blatant murder of John Lennon; it's almost surprising it has been thirty years since the unforgettable December 8th anniversary this Wednesday. I have also come to a conclusion and out right decision. I don't want to hear about the demise of Lennon, he continues on to be a legend and such an inspiration to all people.  It is because of this continuation, this ongoing celebration of life, I want to do nothing more than just that.  Celebrate the short life of a great man, celebrate this worldwide impact he crafted in his time and honor him in happiness and above all, peace.  I think he would desire nothing more.
So this week, don't get caught up in sadness, in death.  Don't bring attention to the little fucker who pulled the gun.  Allow John Lennon to rest in peace.  On that note, Give Peace A Chance!  :)

Quote♥

"It's often just enough to be with someone. I don't need to touch them. Not even talk. A feeling passes between you both. You're not alone."
-Marilyn Monroe

Faux Fur?

I am usually opposed to fur coats, whether real or fake, in general; it's not that they don't look good, I'm just more of the leather jacket type.  A couple of weeks ago I actually spent hours online looking for a decent addition to my winter wardrobe and stumbled upon an "Express Minus the Fur Coat."  With a coupon I decided to go for it, the fur look is glamorous if done right.  I think?

So the point is, if someone who happens to be reading this is pondering the idea of purchasing faux fur; Do it!  Just read reviews and buy from someone reputable; because faux fur can be glamorous in an old Hollywood kind of way.  Love it!

Rambling

Life is so tragic.  Without hope or purpose it seems as though there is no point in living because true hopelessness is a journey with no light at the end of the tunnel.  I guess that's why so many people look to religion for comfort, a purpose for their lifelong pain.  If we all could look forward to some sort of heaven and pray for salvation then we could live with hope.  For some reason I never bought into this, after years of religious training and schooling I was never particularly religious.  To be completely honest, I don't even think there's a God let alone an afterlife.  It's unexplainable; I just cannot spiritually sense it or believe that there's logic behind the stories of religion.  This doesn't mean I'm not open minded.  I wish I could see "the light," but simply just cannot.

Lady Gaga!

She's amazing right?  You may or may not agree, but there is something so incredibly liberating about watching her performances.  Gaga seems like a strong ass woman, so glamorous and inspirational; I just wanted to share :)  Haha.  Does anyone else see her as a future (if not already) gay icon, legendary artist but also a fashion icon?  Time can only tell!  Also can't wait for her new album, "Born This Way."

(God, she is a sexpot!)
