Forbidden to Write

“Confess to yourself in the deepest hour of the night whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write. Dig deep into your heart, where the answer spreads its roots in your being, and ask yourself solemnly, Must I write?”

My translation: In everyday life we come to crossroads when we must make choices.  We can only try our hardest, if that, because well... we are only human right?  As people we have aspirations and dreams, sometimes we have so many dreams or "loves" that we must pick and chose ones we'll hang onto.  Those forgotten loves, the lost dreams, die.  This quote isn't quite as dramatic if taken literally and logically.  No living person who physically stop breathing if forbidden to write.  This is the representation of the crossroads they would endure if faced with such a decision.

Give Peace A Chance

After watching hours of CNN specials on the death and blatant murder of John Lennon; it's almost surprising it has been thirty years since the unforgettable December 8th anniversary this Wednesday. I have also come to a conclusion and out right decision. I don't want to hear about the demise of Lennon, he continues on to be a legend and such an inspiration to all people.  It is because of this continuation, this ongoing celebration of life, I want to do nothing more than just that.  Celebrate the short life of a great man, celebrate this worldwide impact he crafted in his time and honor him in happiness and above all, peace.  I think he would desire nothing more.
So this week, don't get caught up in sadness, in death.  Don't bring attention to the little fucker who pulled the gun.  Allow John Lennon to rest in peace.  On that note, Give Peace A Chance!  :)
